On Tuesday, November 15, the Joint Committee on Housing at the MA State House held a hearing on a number of bills related to tenant protections.
The housing crisis can be seen and felt acutely in the neighborhoods of Ward 4, so our committee has endorsed key legislation to respond to it, including the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act and the City of Boston’s rent stabilization home rule petition, which passed the Council earlier this year.
Voting to endorse legislation is just one step. We wanted to make sure that our voice was heard, so we submitted testimony for the hearing, which you can read below.
