In two unanimous votes at its February 20th meeting, the Boston Ward 4 Democratic Committee endorsed resolutions supporting S.646 / H.1137: An Act Ensuring Access to Full Spectrum Pregnancy Care and S.148 / H.357: An Act Protecting Reproductive Health Access, LGBTQ Lives, Religious Liberty, and Freedom of Movement by Banning the Sale of Cell Phone Location Information (the Location Shield Act).
The resolutions were written by committee secretary Jonathan Cohn and emphasize the Democratic Party’s “commitment to reproductive autonomy” and “reproductive health access.” They call on elected officials representing Ward 4 to join us in championing passage of both bills.
Both resolutions were sparked by recent conversations with Reproductive Equity Now‘s Rory Millark and Claire Teylouni and ACLU‘s Liberty Program, Kade Crockford. We are grateful for their leadership on these critical issues.
