Rep John Moran Encourages Interaction to Change Hearts and Minds

State Representative John Moran’s guest opinion in the March issue of The Fenway News is an eloquent call for “cordial interaction” in the face of the Trump administration’s war on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The 9th Suffolk Democrat writes, “Most of my colleagues have wisely stated that we should try first and foremost to separate the rapid-fire daily pronouncements from the president’s actual ability to carry out his wishes. He wants to dazzle us with his fireworks so that we ignore the headlines. We need to keep our cool, analyze each order, and follow up with robust, targeted countermeasures.

…I think that Job Number One is changing hearts and minds one person at a time on our own blocks through cordial interaction. Though we think we are safe here in Massachusetts, we have a lot of work to do.”

Thank you, Rep Moran, for your leadership.
