“The Boston City Council should not be impeded in issuing this urgent resolution.”

Several members of the Boston Ward 4 Dems joined with allies from Democratic ward committees across the city to call out the “unjustifiable tactics” of City Councilor Ed Flynn, who has twice blocked passage of City Council’s “No Kings” resolution. Filed by Councilors Ben Weber and Enrique Pepen, the resolution “lays out clearly the assault of the Trump administration on the Constitution, and it reminds us that this country was founded on an opposition to monarchical abuse of power. The resolution likewise acknowledges that, in fighting against such abuses of power, everyone must play their part, and everyone must do more.“

The letter urges the the Boston City Council “to bring this resolution up for a vote as soon as possible and give it the unanimous vote it deserves.”

The Boston Ward 4 Democratic Committee is a founding member of the Boston WardWorks Alliance.
