In his op-ed for The Boston Sun (February 15), Jonathan points to several bills that would eliminate “a myriad of barriers” to transparent governance. They include redistricting, expanding early voting, election day registration, and streamlined registration for returning community members. Great piece!

People Before Highways author to speak at April 16th meeting
We’re looking forward to a conversation about city making with Dr. Karilyn Crockett, whose groundbreaking People before Highways: Boston Activists, Urban Planners, and a New Movement for City Making chronicles the state’s failed attempts to build a highway system through the heart of Boston. The project was halted by a coalition of citizen activists determined to uphold standards of equity throughout the city.
